Employee onboarding at VFLI
AT VFLI, ONBOARDING IS SO MUCH MORE THAN A ONE-DAY INDUCTION WORKSHOP
As soon as you arrive in the company, we implement a comprehensive process to facilitate your integration within our company and enable you to find your feet as quickly as possible. We're not talking here about a one-day workshop – at VFLI we do everything within our power to ensure that you enjoy a smooth transition into your new job.
Team spirit and conviviality are part and parcel of VFLI's DNA
VFLI takes care to facilitate the integration of all new members of staff and to make sure that they take up their new post in the best possible conditions.
On the day of your arrival in the company you will be presented with a welcome booklet.
You will be welcomed personally by your manager who will take the time to help you learn about VFLI's activities, about your entity and your specific role.
The Human Resources department is always on hand to facilitate your career path at VFLI.
For railway operators, your programme will begin at the VFLI training centre.
The induction of new recruits to operational rail-related posts begins at the VFLI training centre.
In a sector as demanding and constantly changing as the rail freight industry, it is essential to make a difference in terms of the quality of the people and the services that we provide to our clients. It is for this reason that we chose to set up our own dedicated training centre.
Made-to-measure training for new managers
Given that the commitment and involvement of our managers is central to the success of our company, specific programmes have been devised in order to develop the competencies of our Contract Managers. The "VFLI Pass’Manager" training course, comprising a common core accompanied by a series of optional modules, was set up in 2012.
In their own words… : Anne, Regional Business Manager
« At VFLI, the onboarding process is adapted to each individual. I am in charge of a region with a workforce of 180 people and we personally welcome every single new member of staff when they arrive at the head office of our Regional Branch. Everyone is provided with a welcome booklet and an induction plan in order to help them in taking up their new post. The atmosphere is very pleasant and there is an excellent team spirit. It was the same for me when I joined the company; I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the welcome that I was given. The core training programme for all newcomers on the rail freight business provides a good overview of the sector. After that I was able to get a more in-depth awareness directly out in the field. All I can say is that I very quickly found my feet. »
